I bought this digital thermometer seven months ago to use as a meat thermometer whereas grilling. we have a tendency to grill on average a handful of times every week, even throughout winter, thus we have a tendency to got plenty of use out of it within the past seven months. we've been more than happy with it. The reading seems to be quite correct and it stabilizes terribly quickly - a lot of quicker than the other cooking thermometer I actually have used. the sole issue that i might do to boost it's to own an auto shutoff feature such that you just will ensure it shuts itself off when a given amount - say an hour - to avoid wasting battery life, because it is straightforward to forget to shut it off after you are done using it.
And speaking off the battery, that brings me to te highlight of my review. The battery it came with eventually died when many months, and it absolutely was time to switch it. However, the insufficient screw on the rear holding the battery compartment door shut was not possible to show. I actually have plenty of tools, and that i tried everything from a very tiny "normal" screwdriver, to small watchmaker screwdrivers. I even tried WD40. Nothing would create this screw budge. it absolutely was as if it had been mounted in place with locktite.

I grill and smoke meats typically and need an correct thermometer with a quick reading. I literally have five completely different meat thermometers and that they all take a awfully long-standing to scan. It drives me crazy.
This is smaller, faster, and additional correct than any thermometer I've used. The probe is that the good length to avoid burning yourself whereas grilling.
